Do not automatically rent the larger unit “just in case.” Measure bulky furniture and estimate your boxes first. A well-packed smaller unit can save meaningful money over several months.

You can position a car, SUV, pickup or suitable moving vehicle close to the unit and unload directly into the space.

The way you pack matters almost as much as the unit size.
Similar-size boxes and totes stack more efficiently than a random collection of containers.
Put heavier belongings at the bottom and lighter containers above them.
Do not assume the label will still face you after everything is stacked.
